We have a log home and I began to hear and notice the presence of rats up in our chimney. My husband couldn't hear them, luckily, but they were driving me crazy. They were obviously "setting up housekeeping... making babies and all" ...the odor was getting repulsive. We have no money for an exterminator and tenting is way too expensive a proposition. I saw an ad for the Bell & Howell Ultrasonic Pest Repeller. I figured if it works, I've saved us gobs of cash and my sanity, so I bought three. The moment I plugged the first device in, the horrible squeaking sounds I was constantly bombarded with (from the rats in the chimney) stopped... I mean stopped... nothing but silence. I couldn't believe my ears! And the horrible odor... left with them. Thank God for this product!!! I tell you... it really, really does work!!! Thank you Bell & Howell: you have a wonderful product here. Folks, don't hesitate to purchase this item. You won't regret it for one moment. I sure don't. MY HOME WAS INFESTED WITH ANTS FOR WEEKS. I HAD BEEN CLEANING EVERYDAY FOR HOURS. WHEN I RECEIVED THIS ITEM IT TOOK ABOUT 2-3 DAYS TO START WORKING. I STILL HAVE A FEW ANTS THAT I SEE HERE AND THERE, BUT NOTHING COMPARED TO BEFORE. I AM SURE THIS ITEM WILL GET RID OF THEM ALL. IT HAS ONLY BEEN ABOUT 1 WEEK NOW. AWESOME PRODUCT. IT BEATS SPRAYS THAT MAKE YOUR HOME SMELL!!! IF YOU HAVE ANT PROBLEMS BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT WORKS!

I have never written one of these product reviews before but I had to for this one because I wanted to help others. I found a mouse in my apartment 2 days ago (I am terrified of mice) and my neighbor lent this to me. I immediately plugged it in and it was the first time in months that I didn't hear mice in my walls. I didn't think it would work as I read other online reviews about similar products that called these types of devices worthless. According to my neighbor, many are. She also swears by something called Pest Offense (she wouldn't lend that to me because she couldn't bear to part with it), which I also ordered. I am not sure if it will work forever, but it definitely was the first night in a long time that I was able to sleep without being woken up from the noise of mice.
