Don't let appearances fool you. You may enjoy playing with your new balls so much that you forget you are work and you may possibly come up with a new invention or two when you see all that you can build with these magnetic balls. These are more than just super-strong, neodymium rare-earth magnets. They're an addictive, three-dimensional building toy.

We all become bored at sometime during our work day, even if we love our job. For times like these, we now have the BuckyBalls Magnetic Building Spheres. These cool magnetic balls or nothing like those Lincoln Logs you used to build space ships when you were a kid, these are awesome building balls that allow you to build basic shapes, magnetic jewelry, complex designs, or whatever else your imagination can dream up.

Buckyballs

They're a moldable desktop stress reliever. Bucky Balls are one-of-a-kind magnetic jewelry. They're a science experiment waiting to happen, and a portable geometry lab. Each BB-sized magnet can hold the equivalent of eight sheets of paper, and together they add up to an infinite variety of amazing possibilities. Includes 216 Bucky balls.

These magnetic Bucky Balls are more than a kid's plaything as they can challenge adults as well. They can become an addictive little puzzle as you try to shape them into various forms. There are plenty of you tube videos that can help you get started. Getting them back into the cube shape they came in may be your biggest challenge. Be sure to try the pentagonal sphere. Bucky balls are nickel plated and made with neodymium, which is a rare-earth magnet.

Bucky Ball

Imagine a Rubik's Cube that actually makes you smarter, an Erector Set that never stops erecting, a Hula Hoop you don't look ridiculous playing with, Silly Putty that isn't silly, cram it all in a jar, turn the fun up to 11, and you've got BuckyBalls! Each set contains 216 powerful rare earth magnets that can be shaped, molded, torn apart and snapped together in UNLIMITED WAYS. Make sculptures, puzzles, patterns, shapes, stick stuff to the fridge, invent a new game-trying to find something more useful is useless.

Bucky Balls

Warning: Not intended for children. Swallowing of magnets may cause serious injury and require immediate medical care. ADULTS ONLY.

Great toy to have on your desk to torture the engineers. People can't resist to pick it up. Once you start playing with these powerful magnets, you can't put them down!

Bucky Balls Powerful Rare Earth Magnets

BuckyBalls are the hit of this holiday season. My college aged son bought them for my husband and they have been in constant use since Christmas morning. They are irrestible. Someone always seems to be playing with them! I think my husband played with them for 5 or 6 hours straight on Christmas. We also sent a set to our teen niece and she, too, cannot stop playing with them. The individual balls are quite small, so they are not a good choice for households with small children. Everyone else, however, will be captivated.

Of all the things my daughter got for her 9th birthday, this is the gift she plays with the most. I struggled with the $30 price tag, but ultimately bought based on recommendations. The "tricks" shown in the video are not easy, but despite not being able to do many of them, my kid loves them nonetheless. Be sure your kid is old and mature enough to handle using these with some rules as they can easily get stuck and lost to anything metal. Also, they could do a number on a TV, computer, or stomach if not used or handled properly. For these reasons, you should not consider this toy if you have children under 5 who could possibly find them.

I got Bucky Balls for my husband so he wouldn't keep playing with the remote all the time. He wasn't sure about it at first, but then really got into playing with it and trying to make neat shapes. It was also a hit at my son's birthday party - everyone wanted to play with it.

I gave this as a gift to a grown up techie type. It was well received, and was the 'it' toy on Christmas Day. Just keep them away from toddlers and pets!
