Stores up to three bunches of fresh herbs at a time. Perfect for fresh parsley, cilantro, oregano, and more. Also doubles as a great way to keep asparagus fresh and hydrated. Center tube threads onto base cup to hold the herbs upright. This provides adequate air circulation and keeps the delicate leaves out of water. Water fill level clearly indicated on outside of base.
Culinary Note: One tablespoon of chopped fresh herbs equals one teaspoon of the same herb, dried.

I USE MINE FOR CELERY AND IT HOLDS AN ENTIRE HEAD OF STALKS UPRIGHT AND KEEPS THEM COLD CRISPY AND FRESH FOR AT LEAST A WEEK. I LIKE MINE SO MUCH I HAVE GIVEN IT AS A GIFT TO OTHERS.

I use a lot of fresh herbs in my cooking, but they always go bad quickly in the refrigerator -- what a waste. I bought this with the hopes of extending the life of my herbs just a little longer, and I'm not disappointed. My herbs last at least three times longer with no difference in taste nor texture. You do have to change the water regularly though.
