banagram are fabulous! It's easy and fun to play, yet challenging. Our family ranges in age from 9 to 60. It is the perfect game for us to play together (even allowing for group help for the younger ones when they pick a difficult letter from the Bunch). More fun than Scrabble because its word, not point, oriented. I know this will go on the top of our list to give to others when we're looking for the perfect gift.

I ordered Bananagrams prior to Christmas for my family to enjoy. And enjoy it - they did. There was hardly a moment when at least four of us were playing it, including my three grandchildren (ages 12-17). It was definitely the hit of our Christmas week!

“I have no problem at all with endorsing your fantastic game. The Bananagrams are selling very well - Customers are attracted by the unusual packaging. My family and I have spent many happy hours playing Bananagrams together. My children said to tell you that the banana game is very ap’peel’ing”

My co-workers and I have the occasional "game night" -- we usually play Cranium, Uno, Scattergories and the like but when someone pulled Bananagrams out of her purse, it wasn't long before we got over our initial skepticism. It is, as others have pointed out, a lot like Scrabble without the board -- only instead of building off of other people's words and having to keep score, you work solely with your own letters/words. Plus, not having to really keep score is a huge bonus (rather, the first person out of tiles -- when there are no more tiles left in the community pool to draw from -- wins). I've already played with my parents on a recent visit home (they both loved it) and I suspect this will now be packed for camping trips right alongside my tent.

Bananagrams is a fast, easy game to play with a group of people--kind of a sorbet to cleanse the palate between longer, more strategic games. The concept is simple and madcap and plays quickly. Serious gamers may be frustrated, however, by the fact that there is no advantage to longer words or to being the one to form your crossword and use all your letters most quickly most often. Instead, victory is decided just by who finishes the final crossword most quickly at the end--leaving a quick and accomplished player at the mercy of getting a q or z or j as his or her last letter.

I love to play Scrabble but sometimes I can't find anyone who wants to play. Bananagrams can be played alone or with others. There is no pressure to score a large number of points as the goal is just word formation and quick thinking. I often play alone, against myself and enjoy it just as much. I also like the fact that it comes in a small, cute zippered bag that fits easily in a purse or travel bag.

I bought this on the strength of its reviews to take on holiday. My husband, who hates playing games, felt compelled to offer our daughter assistance when she played with me and was hooked. All 4 of us played many times during the holiday and it saved the day when we had a power cut. You can't read by candle light but you can still play Bananagram! A fantastic idea and the letter tiles are very pleasing to handle. An all round winner.

I use the Bananagrams Game to help my kindergartner to learn how to spell his quickie words from class. The educational stores have products with spelling tiles but they retail for alot more money and they are useless once the child has mastered their spelling. The little tiles are perfect for his little hands and it is so portable in my pocketbook for on the go learning. For now it has interesting use and once my little speller knows all of his words I know we will enjoy it how it was intended to be played.

More fun than Scrabble - Bananagrams (Anonymous)
Bananagrams is an excellent game for anyone who has ever played Scrabble and liked it. It is much better than Scrabble because of the freedom it gives you to change your words over and over again during the course of the game and to build words independently of the other players in the game. We played this game over the holidays. Wide age range of players. Played with partners because of the number in the group. So much fun! Especially recommend to those who enjoy Scrabble or doing crossword puzzles. Great entertainment for those winter days/evenings when you're stuck inside.
