America's #1 brand of family game. See why this color coded card game is such a popular brand of family game. Be the first player or team to score 500 points. Points are scored by being the first to rid yourself of all the cards in your hand before your opponents.

Relatives visiting? Hosting a party? Stuck in an airport? Then it's time for Uno, the classic card game, which is quick to learn, easy to play and fun for all the family. The aim of the game is to be the first player to score 500 points, by getting rid of all the cards in your hand before your opponents. You score points for all the cards left in your opponents' hands. The rules of Uno are simple. Every player picks a card and the person who draws the highest number deals (Action Cards count as zero at this stage). Once the pack has been shuffled, each player is dealt 7 cards. The remainder of the deck is placed face down to form a DRAW pile. And the top card of the DRAW pile is turned over to start a DISCARD pile. The person to the left of the dealer starts play and has to match the card on the DISCARD pile, either by number or colour. So, if the card is a red 7, the player must put down a red card or any 7 card regardless of its color.

Alternatively, the player can put down a Wild Card. If the player doesn't have a card to match the one on the DISCARD pile, they must take a card from the DRAW pile. If this can be played, the player is free to put it down in the same turn. Otherwise, play moves on to the next person. Players may choose not to play a playable card from their hand. If so, they must draw a card from the DRAW pile. If playable, that card can be put down in the same turn, but the player may not use a card from the hand after the draw. Players race to get rid of their cards and the real fun starts when special Action Cards are used to foil opponents and gain an advantage. With the tension mounting, Uno becomes the fun family card game that's easy to pick up but impossible to put down.

Uno Card Game (Anonymous)
There isn't much I can say about this game that hasn't already been said. But I will.

This game is labeled for ages 7+. I'll tell you, though, my boys were absolute UNO ADDICTS when they were 4. It's really easy to learn, so they caught on very quickly. For about 6 months, they played this game with my husband every day as soon as they got up in the morning and the minute he got home from work each day. We have taken a deck with us everywhere we've gone incase we've needed something to do to pass time.

We would never be without this game.

Playing with the little kids, we never keep score. We just play that whoever goes out wins.

Works for us.

I grew up playing this game with my Grandma and I recently taught my husband. Its a very simple game but it is alot of fun especially if you love card games which we do.

I'm 13, and bought a pack of UNO cards and took them to school the next day. Oops (or maybe I should say YES!) because everyone wanted to play. I must have played ten games every single day so far, and my cards are still in high demand. It is not at all hard to learn, and still a ton of fun. I strongly recommend this game!

Uno Card Game (Anonymous)
I come from a family where card games have always been popular, although we concentrated on games using "standard" cards.
Although this game has been around for a long while, I only discovered it a couple of weeks ago when my visiting 8 years old niece introduced the game to my wife. They were having a jolly good time together.

I was gladly offered a position as a playing partner as Uno gets more interesting when 4, 5 or 6 people are playing together. On basis of this, we have added my parents and my kid sister on the roster. Since then, I have bought a game for my home and one for my parents (who now also play with their own friends.) Everybody who ever plays this game is bound to become a fan!

This great game mostly sees all the players, young and old, smiling or laughing.

The rules are simple enough for young kids to play, and it is entertaining for a whole family. I have seen it played by bright 5 year olds.

It is not expensive, durable and easy to carry around.

Although the results are largely determined by chance, there is that bit of strategy involved in using various "wild" cards to work in alliance against the leader. It also shows to kids that you can win and lose. Ultimately, the game teaches players to think ahead, to react quickly and to be aware of what's going on at all times.

It is also possible to add variants to the game, only depending on the players' imagination and inclination.

Unconditionally recommended to any card-playing enthusiast!

A great, vintage card game for all fun-loving kids aged from 5 to 105!
