Progressive Onion Chopper
Progressive Onion Chopper Features:
- Dices onions in one swift motion by closing lid
- 2-cup Onion Chopper by Progressive International
- Crafted of reinforced plastic with a stainless steel blade
- Dices onions without tears, measurement markings on container
- Chops potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, squash, garlic, radishes and so much more
Work smarter, not harder with Progressive International's helpful onion chopper. Just slice an onion in two, set half on the stainless steel blade, then close the hinged plastic lid. Voila! Dice onions without all the mess, odor, or time-consuming cleanup. The reinforced storage container is clear so it's easy to see how much you've chopped, and measurements up to two cups are printed on the sides.

The compact tool stands on four round feet that keep it secure on the counter top or table. When the top is closed, the blade is protected and safely away from a busy chef's hands. This chopper stores easily in a drawer and comes with a tool to clean the lid easily.
This handy Onion Chopper lets you quickly and easily chop onions without crying. It also keeps your hands odor free. Simply place an onion on the stainless steel slicing grid, then push down the lid to chop in one quick motion. The chopped onion will fall into the see-through plastic container that reduces odors to prevent tears while keeping your counter clean. It also has measurements on the side so you can clearly see how much you've chopped - up to 2 cups. Dishwasher safe.

I LOVE MY CHOPPER! I make salsa alot, and ALWAYS use the chopper for all the tomatoes, onions, garlic, green peppers and even the jalapenos! I learned that the trick is to just slice your items and you get an amazing result. This was the best Christmas present I have ever received!

I like the chopper it works great. I make my own salsa in 5 minutes or less. The chopper is strong and can chop half an onion at a time. The dices are small so you can add onion to all your recipes for flavor and the kids won't even know their in there.

I just opened this product and used it for the first time. I selected an onion that had been in ther fridge for awhile - maybe a month or two. I cut the onion and peeled the skin as directed but COULD NOT get the thing to chop the onion no matter how hard I pushed down on the cover. I remembered reading reviews before I bought it that said it didn't work, but I thought "How could this thing ever have made it to market if it didn't work?" I cleaned the mush from the first onion out from the slicing blades and selected a fresher onion (bought just this week)from the fridge. PRESTO!! The thing worked like a charm! I haven't tried any other veggies yet, but I can attest that if you use fresh onions, this baby works. If the onions are not fresh, forget about it. Unless you are Arnold Schwarzenegger, you will never get the cover down (this is probably why some people complain that it breaks), and if you do manage to get the cover down on a less-than-fresh onion without breaking the device, you will be rewarded with a pile of mush. The instructions do say that ease of chopping will vary with size and freshness of onion, but they probably need to stress this more to save users from a lot of frustration & disappointment. This chopper comes with only one fixed blade, and it cuts the onion into very small (1/4 in. square) pieces. The VIDALIA Chopper looks to be identical, but it comes with an additional larger blade - for more money, of course. I probably would have bought the VIDALIA Chopper if I had realized this but am still satisfied with this so far. FRESH ONIONS are the ticket! Buy this and enjoy!

This Progressive Onion Chopper does a good job, but you still need to slice the onion before you put it in the chopper. It won't chop through half of an onion like it claims. I wish I had bought the Vidalia Onion Wizard because it comes with 2 inserts (one for chopping and one for dicing). I haven't been able to find another insert for the Progressive that is a different size.

When we first got onion chopper, I thought that it wouldn't hold up as it was mostly plastic, but we've chopped many, many gallons of vegetables and other items with it. We traditionally make several gallons of fresh salsa for our July 4th get together. Usually, it takes hours to get all of the peppers, onions, garlic and tomatoes chopped. This year, I used the vidalia chopper to do ALL of the chopping. It will chop onion, carrots, celery, tomatoes, anything that is firm. It makes the best fresh salsa.
