- Flame resistant
- 5-finger flexi grip
- For right or left hand
- Higher heat protection
- Made with Kevlar® & Nomex® by DuPont
Piping hot pans and sizzling skillets are no match for The Ove Glove As Seen On TV. The glove that makes you feel like a superhero. Withstands temperatures up to 540 degrees, and does not catch fire or melt! Handle scorching light bulbs, baking pans, wood-burning stoves, and more. Fits either hand.
No More Dropped Pans! No More Burns! Ever wished you could use all five fingers when removing pans from the oven? Well, Now you can with the Ove Glove As Seen On TV Oven Mitt. Made from KEVLAR® and NOMEX®, the same material that fire fighter's flame resistant clothing is made from the Ove Glove Oven Mitt can withstand temperatures of up to 540 degrees. You can dramatically extend the time you can handle hot objects. We've all lost grip of a sheet pan full of cookies fresh from the oven because the hot pad or oven mitt we were using was just too big and bulky to get a good firm grip on the pan. Kitchen towels aren't much better as they often aren't thick enough or the right material to protect our hands from the heat... let alone we usually end up dragging the corner of the towel into the food!
The Ove Glove is perfect for the kitchen, barbecue and handling hot surfaces around the house. Interior layer is made of soft double knit cotton. Machine washable. The thermal properties of The Ove Glove outer layer, which is made of Nomex® and Kevlar® dramatically extend the time you can handle a hot object in your hands. The tough exterior of this glove forms a thermal isolation barrier, slowing the temperature increase in the interior layer of soft double knit cotton. When exposed to an open flame, the outer layer of glove does not catch fire and does not melt. The Ove Glove's outer layer is made of 86% Nomex® and 14% Kevlar®. Classified UL: Protective kitchen apparel as to heat and flame resistant only. Maximum surface temperature 540 degrees F.
Safety Information This product extends the time to handle hot objects. It is not a permanent protection against fire or heat.

I bought this item as a birthday gift for a man and I liked it so much I bought one for myself . I use it in the kitchen for pulling pans out of the oven and the toaster oven. There is only one in a package so if you need one for each hand you need to buy 2 packages.

works Great. I have been using mine for a couple weeks now on a daily basis and it works so much better than a regular oven mitt. You can't feel any heat at all thru it. Its great.

The Ove Glove protects just as the manufacturer claims. I bought two, one to protect each hand when I bake or handle large pots of hot soup or chili sauce. The gloves provide maximum coverage, and because the protection is ON your hand (instead of in your hand), it won't slip during use.

AS SEEN ON TV OVE GLOVES

I started using this ove glovein culinary school. Our chefs used them. A key is that they have separated fingers which allows you greater control in preparation than traditional mitts. However, due to their woven design, they are not as heat resistant as some heavier duty, Kevlar style gloves. Also, like any glove, if they get wet at all, the heat resistance goes way down. Having said all that, if baking or prepping at a standard baking or roasting range (350 to 400), I always use these ove gloves first. If I am retrieving something that's been broiling or cooking at very high heat (500 in a a home oven or in a very hot commercial kitchen), I am more careful when picking up that hot of an item.

Excellent Oven Gloves, even my grandmother loves ove gloves

If your tired of clumsy oven mittens or pot holders that have no feel to them and wear out, then you'll appreciate these heat-resistant gloves. Aside from their fireproof qualities, the best thing about them is that they are 5-fingered, fit either hand, and stretch to conform a man's hand size. You'll never lose your grip on a dish or tray, or have the end of a typical mitt/pot holder dip into your food and pick up stains. If this glove does accidentally pick up stains it can be washed. The only caution I have is that due to the open mesh weave, steam can penetrate the glove, which can be felt by the user but has not resulted in any burns. I would recommend ordering 2 gloves (I did) for use on large roasting pans or other heavy cookware. Some of our friends and family members have bought the Ove Glove, too, after they tried ours! The only thing to watch out for is that they're not waterproof, so don't dip your thumb in the soup.
