I have been cleaning houses professionally for 17 years. I will only use the Smart Mop. The people who left bad reviews either bought a cheap imitation or they are not using is correctly. It is really no effort. Any mop looking similar in a retail store may not be the original Smart Mop. Several of my clients have asked me how I get their floors looking so nice. The Smart Mop, I tell them. I do recommend vacuuming or sweeping first. Who would want to use a wet mop on loose dirt? I use it with a bucket of hot water with a little Lemon Pine-sol added. Depending how dirty your floor is the mop water will become dirty as you rinse the mop head. When this happens toss it out and get a fresh bucket of mop water. Wring the mop out as much as you can without too much effort. Apply a little pressure while mopping for the best cleaning job. The floor should only be damp or a little wet when you are finished. I rinse it out real well when the job is done, wring it out and hang it to dry. I have never had to machine wash it, but if you want to it is easy to remove the mop head. You just unscrew the bottom of the mop head and slide it over the handle. Replacement mop heads are also available. Give this mop a try. I have been extremely happy with it.

I have purchased this mop about 15 years ago and I have never found another mop like it. First of all, it dries so fast that when my children were babies it was great! By the time you got to the end of the kitchen the other side was dry. I highly recommend this item no matter what kind of floor you have! I have used it on wood floors, tile and linoleum and I swear by it. Last year my sister's laughed at me when I gave my Mom a Smart Mop as a gift. Well, my Mom won't use anything else now! Trust me.... you will love this mop!
