The Clapper As Seen On TV
The Clapper As Seen On TV Features:
- Clap On! Clap Off
- Clap indication light
- Includes sensitivity dial
- Great home protection tool
- Plugs in to any 110V standard outlet
- Works with lamps and other devices
- Turn on household devices with claps of your hands
The Clapper can help a variety of people in a variety of ways. Do you come home sometimes too tired to even attempt to find the light switch? Sometimes, do you wish you didn't have to get up from the couch to find the remote for the TV? The Clapper to the rescue! The Clapper can also help physically handicapped people by allowing them to turn on and off appliances that are difficult for them to reach.
And now, The Clapper can be set up to activate the appliance when it hears any sound. Naturally, this wouldn't be good when you're home, but it is a great theft deterrent when you're at work, or on vacation. If someone tries to enter your house, the clapper can automatically turn on a TV or radio in your home.
The Clapper is a device that is activated by sound sensory, and will turn on or off any two appliances plugged into it. The Clapper itself is plugged into an outlet in your wall. When activated by the sound of your clapping, it will control up to two appliances and turn them on or off, depending on the number of times you clap. This product is perfect for those hard-to-reach switches or for when you just don't want to get out of bed to turn off the lamp or the television. Plus, the clapper now includes clap indication lights to aid with proper clapping and a sensitivity dial to increase or decrease the Clapper's sensitivity to your unique clap.
Instructions for Clapper:
- Set sensitivity dial to home
- Plug appliance into left receptacle of the Clapper
- Plug Clapper into wall Socket
- Manually turn appliance on
- You can now turn your appliance on or off by clapping
You don't have to clap very hard! The Clapping sequence is more important than how loudly you clap: CLAP (pause) CLAP (pause) (pause) (pause) Where each pause is approximately to 1 second long. The Three pauses after the second clap are very important. The Clap Detection Lights will only glow when a proper clap is detected. These lights will help you determine the proper speed and loudness of your claps that are necessary to activate your appliance. Please refer to detailed instructions for additional information on other features.

It works!!
joemat (California) 4/5/2012 2:53 AM
I've been using the clapper for over 4 years. I'm finding it hard to find another one. I don't understand why the one review says it doesn't work with flourecent lights? I've been using it with a flourecent light for over a year, with no problems. Also I don't understand why it only has a one star rating, when all the reviews shown are five stars!

Worked Great For A Handicapped Lady
Anonymous (Unknown) 7/13/2007 1:07 PM
My adult daughter is handicapped from an automobile accident and can not get up to turn on or off the lights. So, if no one was with her as it got dark she had to sit there in the dark until someone came. I gave her the clapper and it worked great for her. The amazing thing is, she has no fine motor skills and can not clap hard enough, so she just yells at it and it works!! She yells "On" and the lights respond and come on and yells "Off" and they go off. It has given me peace of mind and been a great comfort to us knowing that she can control the lights. The first one finally wore out, now I am buying another one.
